Accounting Essentials Ltd
  • About Us

In 2008 Keryn and Carol decided to join together and offer consulting services for accounting and payroll software.

We have been operating since 2008 as Accounting Essentials Ltd from our separate home offices, working with small/medium businesses to facilitate their in-house bookkeeping, their IRD filing obligations and financial & management reporting.

Keryn Williams BBS, Director / Consultant

Keryn is a qualified accountant with over 20 years experience working within a wide variety of business environments - from international corporations in the UK, to a local chartered accountants office to several smaller local businesses.

Keryn has found her niche in Accounting Essentials with assisting small to medium sized businesses in Taranaki to establish reliable accounting processes by using appropriate accounting and payroll software. She enjoys building trusting relationships with her clients and finds the work of training people to be very rewarding.

Keryn and her husband, Rhys, have two teenagers - Meg and Jack. Together, they enjoy a wide variety of sport including surfing, skiing, cycling, rollerblading, soccer, basketball, netball and rugby.

Carol Hawksworth BBS, Director / Consultant

Following completion of her Business Studies degree, Carol worked as a software programmer in the corporate environment, before taking a break to have a family.

On returning to the workforce, her career took a new direction, and for 6 years she worked in the Chartered Accountant environment. In 2004 her primary focus became setting up, training and supporting accounting and payroll software for clients from a variety of industries. Now Carol is continuing this role for Accounting Essentials.

Carol enjoys the challenges of tailoring software solutions to support each client's particular business requirements, helping her clients review their office processes to support accurate data entry, and develop reports that support business information and decision-making.

Carol and her husband, Alan, have 3 grown children, Geoffrey, Bethel and Evan and 2 grandkids so far, Lukas and Lilly.
